    STEP 6: Students can begin building their board. The user interface is incredibly user friendly and very customizable. In addition to using the EDITOR TOOLS on the left to personalize the board and add new items, students can also customize each individual item once it's on the board.

    In a nutshell, that is the process for creating and approving boards. Remember, teachers can also create boards from their accounts, and they have all of the same features that students have. So, before assigning a task to your students, try it out on your own!

    Overview
    Discovery Education's Board Builder is available schools who subscribe to Discovery Education's digital content (Ex: Discovery Education STREAMING). With a DE subscription, teachers have the ability to create individual accounts for all of their students. Through these accounts, students can access a variety of digital media, receive targeted instructional support from their teacher(s) who can assign them with media assets to meet their needs, and complete assessments assigned by the teacher. Last but not least, students can create content using the Board Builder tool.

    To enable email notifications, click on the Responses spreadsheet linked to your form.
    In the example shown below, you would click on the first item listed: Contact Me | Cynthia Treichler (Responses). The (Responses) at the end of the title denotes the spreadsheet linked to the form. {New Picture.png}
    Click on Tools > Notification Rules.
    {Image 1.png}
    From there, you can select the option that says Notify me at [your email address] when… “A user submits a form.”
    Once you establish when you wish to be notified, you can establish how you wish to be notified; with a daily digest or right away. Depending on the nature of your form, one option may be preferred over the other option.

    Add-ons
    Google Forms have launched lots of terrific add-ons. To explore the gallery, open the responses spreadsheet and click on the Add-ons > Get Add-ons.
    Two useful add-ons for education:
    Form Limiter Add-on: This is useful for delivering timed assessments. It can also be used to close the form when you have reached the designated number of submissions.
    gMath Add-on: This allows you to create and insert graphs and mathematical expressions into your Google Forms.
